How Do You Stop Sweating So Much

Sweating is a common phenomenon. Everyone sweats. A lot of people have a misconception regarding the level of sweating experienced by different people. They seem to think that the more sweat glands one has the more he or she sweats. However, this is completely untrue because we all have equal sweat glands. The reason why some people sweat more than others is because of other reasons such as body weight, diet and the clothes worn. Therefore, how do you stop sweating when you are in the middle of something important such as an office meeting?

* What you eat is what you sweat

This does not mean that the more you eat the more you sweat, although effectively that might be true. Understand this simple fact: whatever you eat needs to be broken down into simple nutrients so that the body can absorb it. However, if this includes emulsified fats, complex carbohydrates and other items that naturally raise the body temperature (alcohol for instance), then your body will work harder to break them down. This results in sweating more. Hence, eat simple food that can be used up by the body easily.

* Natural fabrics

Cotton and linen are excellent fabrics for hot and sultry weather. They are natural fabrics which let the skin breathe comfortably. Synthetic materials block air passage between the clothes and your body which builds up heat due to its insulator effect which causes more sweating.

* Calcium and magnesium

Consuming adequate amounts of calcium and magnesium help in reducing sweat. Sweating is a way for the body to cool down as well as eject impurities. Calcium helps the body to cool down relatively. Magnesium absorbs impurities making it unnecessary for the body to sweat it out. But how do you stop sweating on the whole?

* Working out

The reason why it is advisable to work out is not so that you exhaust your body’s capacity to sweat through the day. There is no such logic. Working out helps you maintain your physical fitness. It is a well known and observed fact that fat people sweat more than slim individuals. This is simply because fat people have more calories to burn than non-fat people.
